24/11/2009 - Soil Tests and Initial Tender

The soil test came through a week back with the following results:

Soil Surface Movement (Site Classification): M P
Site Cost Code: 3
Wind Classification: N2(W33)
...
Rock Encountered which may affect excavation: Yes
...
Fire Ant Area: Yes
...
Slope: 4 degrees
...
Deep Fill: Yes

Received the initial tender and site plan based on the soil test. The site works have gone up by 2K which i am quite happy with. But this does not include a mandatory retaining wall which i will have to make arrangement to build. The retaining wall is 1.5m high at the highest point and is almost 20m in length. This is going to blow my budget a bit. Need to get some quotes off other builders who do retaining walls.

I was planning on installing a 1kW solar electricity system which was on my wish list. But i guess i will have to do away with this wish because of the retaining walls :(

10/11/2009 - Basic plans

Its been a week since i paid my initial deposit. Coral sales person said that it would take around 2 weeks to get the soil test results and another week or so for the initial tender. I am also waiting to hear from my bank. And so the wait game begins...

In the mean time i have decided to upload my initial plans:

1. Rough Land Plan

2. Rough Floor Plan

Let me know what you guys think. Any suggestions ???
