29/03/2010 - Enclosed phase

Plenty of carpentry stuff has happened over the last week. The kitchen has been fitted. The skirtings have been completed. The wardrobes have been fitted and the doors have been installed.

The tiles have been delivered and the chipper comes in next week.

23/05/2010 - Architraves installed

The brick laying has almost been completed. Another day or two and it will be done. The carpenter and chipper are coming in this week. I need some decorative tiles to be installed in between the regular ones in the bathrooms and the kitchen, i hope the chipper agrees to it. Also i plan on adding stack stones on the pillars at the entrance.

16/05/2010 - Bricks being laid

The laying of bricks has started and am i glad that i went with the double-sized bricks. The bricks, the natural mortar and the roof colour really blend well.

The plastering from inside is now complete. Not sure what the next stage (after bricks) is? The electrician has said that i have only 3 more weeks to finalise my electrical fit outs ... i better start panicking !!!

13/05/2010 - Plasterboard In

Just went and had a quick look yesterday to check if the bricks were laid, unfortunately it had not. But the plaster boards are in which now give a definitive feeling for the size of the rooms.

The roofing has also been completed.

These photos are a bit dark but i just blame winter for making the days shorter!!!

09/05/2010 - Roof up, Main Door In, Bricks Delivered

Roofing is 90% completed. Electrician has finished his initial installation and the plumbing has also been completed.

The SS reckons that the bricks and plasterboard will be done by end of this week. I am just hoping that the bricks and roof blend in well !!!

05/05/2010 - A Day Wasted ... not really

Well it rained the whole of yesterday and the roof has not gone up yet. But the guys must have turned up earlier to do the wall insulations.

Finished with the first meeting with the electrician. Had to do a few minor changes with the locations of the switches but other than that its pretty much what i had submitted during the selections meeting. An idea suggested by the electrician to have allow wires for speakers from the theatre room to the patio will be considered :)

04/05/2010 - Gutters and Fascia

Last week wasnt very productive as far as i am concerned. The only addition to the frame was the gutters and fascia. No wonder the supervisor did not call me on Friday to give me an update coz the roof wasnt up as promised. Anyways, the roof tiles have arrived and i am hoping the roof and the main door will be fitted this week that is if the weather permits. Its forecast to rain today and tomorrow :(
