Had taken a day off yesterday to get the electrical fittings sorted. Went to have a look at the site and the garage door was in. Its not connected to the electric supply yet.

The electrician comes in again tomorrow.

15/06/2010 - Painting has started

The patio, portico and eaves' ceilings have been covered and sealed. Painting has also commenced. Fittings and floorings will then follow.

The practical completion date as informed by the SS is the 5th of July. And 2 weeks after that we will be shifting!!! ... how exciting

I still havent bought my electrical fittings. Will be doin it tomorrow.

05/06/2010 - Tiling to Wet Areas

The only thing that happened over the last week is the tiling to the wet areas. Th SS had said that the carpenter would also come to finish off his work, but that hasnt happened. Which means the ceiling for the patio and portico, the coverings for the eaves and the wooden slats on portico pillars are still remaining. The material was delivered last week and is lying outside. I hope the weather doesnt spoil it.

Am quite happy with the tile selections. The black and white look in the ensuite bathroom feels nice.The kitchen splashback was supposed to brownish, but after installation it looks more orangish... but thats ok... not to fussed. Only the small tiles in utility room with the grey grout is a bit of a concern ... i might do my own white grouting later to hide the mosaic !!!
